CMMS Expertise

  • MEL Development

The foundation for a comprehensive CMMS solution is the Master Equipment List (MEL). To properly support a CMMS-development project, Axis typically develops a Master Equipment List consisting of all major mechanical equipment, major electrical equipment (transformers, MCC, etc.), and instrumentation as defined and found on the P&IDs. The lists should be developed with a parent/child relationship.

  • PM & Job Plan Development

Axis Subject Matter Experts are well versed in the development of PM strategies that are consistent with a sound maintenance philosophy. Axis routinely works with clients to build philosophies that will ultimately reflect industry best practices, regulatory concerns and Client corporate policies.

  • Criticality Analysis

An Axis-managed criticality analysis will seek to determine the importance of equipment as it pertains to the system it is supporting. Performing a criticality analysis will allow maintenance tasks to be assigned mainly to critical equipment. This will help avoid adverse consequences associated with true equipment failures, eliminating the need for discretionary maintenance activities. One major cost benefit of this approach is the insight to safely abandon maintenance-intensive programs and focus more on equipment-specific condition monitoring and predictive maintenance programs on critical equipment.

  • Spare Parts Analysis and Data Gathering

Common with major capital projects is the gap associated with Spare Parts. More specifically, aligning the project needs with factors including costs, logistics and many others. At Axis, we have a pool of experienced Spare Parts coordinators who have extensive experience working with vendors and project teams to ultimately come up with recommended spare parts lists.
